Where Quality Care Matters

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the cost of AMG's placement services?

Our personalized placement services are free for seniors and their families. If a client moves into a community or home that we recommend then that community or home pays us a referral fee. This fee does not effect the price that a client pays.

How long does a placement take?

We can place clients in less than 24 hours if needed. The average placement takes about 3 to 7 days. This process can be as fast or as slow as you need it to be. Every situation is different so we are flexible.

How much does it cost for a person to live at an Assisted Living Facility?

In Maricopa County, Arizona the cheapest option for assisted living is to have a shared bedroom in a Group Home. Starting price for this is usually about $2,500 a month. Prices can go up from there depending on things like: size of room/apartment, private bathroom, size of home, quality of home, community setting, amenities and most importantly the quality and level of care.

What makes AMG Quality Care’s Placement Service different?

We have an RN on staff that oversees all assessments and reviews all medical documentation to make sure we understand the exact care needs of the potential resident. We also do not contract with every community and group home. We look at their state surveys and go out and do our own on site surveys of places. They must meet our Quality Care Standards. We tour potential options with the clients and/or families so we are there to help answer any questions and explain the difference of different options. After the client picks an option we are available to help the day of the move and we also at minimum follow up with the client after 7 days and again after 30 days to make sure the client is doing well in their new setting.

What is a Nurse Advocate?

A nurse advocate is a nurse who works on behalf of their patients to maintain quality of care and protect patients’ rights. They are there to bridge the gap between patients and the physicians who treat them. They help to make sure the patient understands their medical conditions as diagnosed by their doctors and can help them make decisions for their current and future health needs.

How much do Nurse Advocacy Services cost?

We offer a free 30 minute phone consultation. After that our service costs $85 an hour plus any travel expenses. The nurse can provide services over the phone or in person by going to doctors appointments in person or being in the patients’ home for telehealth visits or family meetings.
